Defrost Facility of Maruti 800

Maruti 800 comes with a defrost facility as the manual says.

I have set the function selector on dash board to DEFROST & VENTILATION but I do not feel heat inside the car.

A/C (cooling) is working fine.

There is no heater in 800 except 5speed DX model.

There is only heater knob, but doesn't have any cables connected to it.
