its been a year since our member came home.
celebrated its anniversary by taking it on the mum-pune expressway all the way to nh4 till kolhapur upto nipani and then goa.
stayed in goa but missed roaming around goa this time too since sister was occupied with her job.
the nh4 was pure bliss , a drivers paradise for some.
but all time saved was lost on bad roads in the intermediate road at nipani to goa.
so while coming back came from NH17 and it was surprisingly traffic free but for the roads in mumbai.
covered over 600 kms on nh17 in less than 7 hours and spent the next 1.5 hours in traffic of mumbai
scorpio felt at home with the lane changing at speeds of 140kmph.
had to do the mandatory 3rd free service since they are capped on duration.
its been running niggle free for those 7.5kms.
i read mukeshus's thread mentioning that the idle RPM should be placed at 800rpm.
but my observation was it varied from 1000 to 1200.
so raised the issue to check if there's any fault.
the A.S.S checked the RPM on the laptop using the diagnostics and found that its been doing idling around 800-900 rpm.
they have now diagnosed the error as in the error in the cluster meter which was showing incorrect reading.
the new cluster meter was not in stock, so have to wait for the new replacement for a week.
i am currently using the old meter as of now. BTW
the SA mentioned that newer scorpio do not have nippon's central locking system and have a new cluster meter too.
need to check the newer scorpio but i did not find anything different in the display SLE at infinity when we had gone for a TD of XUV
