Thank you Xover kind sir, its an honour to even have your presence in this thread
Coming back to the Blue sense app, here are the details :-
Firstly the flashing process, please do note that you do require to update your ECU/HMI software to 4.04 before using the Blue sense Android app, otherwise the app simply wont be able to talk with the infotainment system
a) First the HMI is flashed(from the USB drive on the top bin )
b) Post this the screen would show a software mismatch error
c) After this the ECU is flashed using the OBD2 port and the XUV flashing tool
Thats it, the software version can be checked and confirmed to 4.04
Then Blue sense Android app can be triggered, the phone has to be offcourse paired with the infotainment blue tooth.
Below is the Blue sense home screen
Audio Controls, this is 2 way communication, you can make changes or select different radio stations and it changes on the infotainment system as well and vice versa.
Tiretronics showing tyre pressure and temperature, though it wont be highly accurate, but i will cross verify this later to determine deviation.
Climate Control Information
Lamp/ Wiper Status
Havent explored this in detail, but it did give me a warning when i left the park lamp on while disconnecting the phone from infotainment system
You can configure the warnings that you would like to be reminded about
A personal Info screen
You can select/toggle between USB, CD, Radio, Aux, BT Audio, Ipod
Though i couldnt see a list option for the USB - hopefully comes as the next update
There is also help section in the main infotainment screen (Icon - ?) - this shows help information for usage of cruise control, esp, hill descent etc - handy thing for the not so savvy folks - i couldnt take pictures of this as i ran out of mobile phone battery juice, will post it tomorrow.
I think more than the features being integrated and the app being provided, I see it as a Indian manufacturer coming of age ! Kudos to even take the effort - Hope it sets a trend with all manufacturers and hopefully our car dashboards of the future will be default android/windows/ios removable tablets rather.
