So XUV your next vehicle ?? | No yaar, we are going with Ertiga ZDI as I am also planning to buy her Reva or upcoming Maruti Diesel 800cc, both the car along with our 2 2-Wheeler only get space in the parking.
When we were finalizing the car, she was totally mesmerized by XUV and almost adamant to go for booking.Even I thought lets go for it but considering all the factors and our city commute usage we decided to go with Ertiga. |

how does this become a news without any supporting data or fact, just interviewing few moms makes it ann observation, interesting in India context though. Get out on the field to get do more justice to your journalism degree. my teen old cousin can derive this observation seeing that in her school or on the road.

TOI and ET are Indian versions of the infamous FOX News. They distort facts, misinterpret events and misguide the public.
The most funny part in article -
many of them mothers - are opting to drive SUVs as they become easier to manoeuvre and steer,"
Inferiority complex can be seen here -
"It's a mindset that SUVs are heavy vehicles that are difficult for women to manoeuvre. It literally makes me feel on top of the world and gives me a feeling of power," says Sawant. |

After all I'm also very thankful to him for his help and Advise. Will surely start a Ownership thread within a day or two. |

| Re: Mahindra XUV5OO: "The Dark Knight" Buying and Ownership Experience @Ironrock - There are too many thing/features in the XUV to get totally comfortable. If there is some thing which makes me think as a niggle, fiddling some more with the infotainment shows that it's actually a feature...
So with the above doubt, I need your clarification on this -
Today while riding the start stop feature was working fine. But after a few stops I suddenly found that the Micro-hybrid feature is not operating. I can see that start/stop switch is ON..
I the meantime I have increased the AC temp, and my cousin did some fiddeling with the infotainment which now he can't rem what he did.. Now i am confused that whether the Micro-hybrid is actually not working, or is it off because of some setting default. I checked all the alerts are OK, and and even tried taking out the ignition key, and restarting the Car.. |

| Re: Mahindra XUV5OO: "The Dark Knight" Buying and Ownership Experience Hi Shibadip there is nothing in the infotainment system that plays with the start stop feature. The start stop feature is hardware controlled (i.e button).
The thing that i have noticed is if you switch it on and off while driving it does not activate the next time you stop. But keep it on, restart the car and then it works fine the entire cycle - hope you got what i am saying.
Offcourse if you keep the car in gear or clutch pressed it will not activate, only when you move to neutral and the car is completely static it activates. |

So as you are saying, the cycle was not complete. Will check, out the next time i take RD out for a spin. BTW I can already feel that RD will rock on the Highways... But bad news, the highway ride might not happen anytime soon.:(
