2nd Service Report at 10k kms :-
The XUV service intervals are 5k/10k/20k/30/40k ....
At the 5K service engine oil was replaced, the 10K service was more of just a inspection and clean up kinds.
Here are some of the items checked(highlighting the ones i paid interest to) :-
Engine oil(mahindra is recommending changing this every 20k, but i am gonna do every 10k )
Coolant - topped it up very slightly as it was just below max
brake fluid - topped up slightly as it was just below max
Clutch set up
Torquing all the suspension bolts and checking the bushes
power steering fluid check
underbody nuts and bolts torque
Alignment/ Balancing - Thanks I said ill get it done outside!
The Infotainment system is upgraded to ver 4 ( a major version ) and i am told it has a lot of minor improvements, visually i can see some font color changes in the time which has improved visibility with the red background. But the best part for me the fuel indicator doesnt max out at 15 and it works as it should be and mahindra has improved the refresh frequency of it and this seems to be working well, this will improve my driving further as i have a habit of keeping a watch on this and doing better (since it was stuck at max 15 and i was getting avg well over 15 there wasnt much to see before) but now while the drive back from service centre to home i already reached 16.7 ( big wide grin) , i will monitoring and comparing this with the usual full tank method to see the deviation, will keep reporting on this.
This was also the last niggle i was hoping that gets resolved. so i am glad they are doing what they have been getting feedback of.
Also i am told additionally mahindra will be replacing both the front brake discs (as some of still reporting grinding) - i am told this will begin in 10-15 days. I had got new pads already last time so expecting new discs shortly.
I also had the opportunity to check out a recent 2012 XUV as it had come for a PDI and body coat. Visually i could see no changes whatsoever.
Finally the cost -
A whopping 36rs
for what joy ? i had cracked the right mud flap in my offroad trysts and they replaced it , it costed 32rs + 4 rs VAT - i asked them to give me 10 mud flaps just in case i keep cracking it offroad
