4 months passed away fast, sometimes feels like i just got her last week. the journey so far has been fun, amazing, bitter and furious. completed 4757kms till now and used up 467l of petrol, yes she drinks like a dog. fuel economy
have noticed a few guys who saw my review particularly the fe i get and changed their mine and took another petrol car. well i just want to say that the review is my own views on my car, every ones views will differ, my car is surely having an issue as i have seen and driven other petrol variants and got 13-14kmpl with the same driving style. A little enthusiastic driving fetched 12.7kmpl not bad. the only time my mid displays these numbers is after a tank up but then sets back to 10 or anything below that. lets chuck the mid tank full to tank full method fetches 9-10.6kmpl and even 8 at times. the worst till date being 7kmpl and best till date 12.6kmpl with speed97 i don't have an outlet near by and for speed97 i would have to travel say 40kms to fill up. and 60rs of toll up and down both. and some traffic. second best is 11.3kmpl shell super unleaded.
other then that no matter i use regular or premium no change in fe either by changing pumps. or increasing tire psi(increased to 34 since the previous tank full still no changes from when i used to fill in 30) and even done the hardest test for me. drive 100kms at 60kmph with no ac(driving without ac is the hardest for me) suspension
- service centre fixes don't seem to make good anything, the popping noise is still there, springs change struts changed bushes change bolts re greased and added no use no difference, extremely bouncy after speed breakers rear passengers swear for revenge. the front suspension makes a noise as if the car was lifted and thrown back on the ground even the steering gives a jerk at that time if i go through a bad speed breaker at a higher speed than 10-15kmph. handling
the handling of the car is fairly ok at the least. but at moderate speeds at higher speeds its not. my dad was driving the other day at a curve we were at 70kmph dad did not see it due to work going on dabbed the breaks a bit and the car felt like it was going to over turn, then once at 120kmph dad had to jam the brakes due to a dumb trucker cutting of into our lane, the car felt like the back was rising and then settled. comfort
the ac used to chill the car up fast now it takes a bit more than it used to. i noticed some slight humming noise which increases from the ac compressor which only used to be there when the compressor was engaged for the first time and then disappears after few seconds. my back doesn't hurt any more and the seats feel very comfortable, rear is amazing the leg room never made me tired for the 80kms i sat back there. could move my legs freely and head room was alright there was still place for devilish horns to come up on me. performance
this is the only area where i am still amazed and i still love it, post 4500rpm the car turns into a beast, leaving all cars behind, the note it gives is kind of sporty, but yes i do have a bit of hiccups occasionally post 5000rpms and near red line. of the 5 gears they gave us for performance wise i love the 2nd gear the most has the best pick up, but hey i can overtake in third also but like a sane person, in second its like a jet taking of, making the car/trucks I'm over taking go huh? what where how?(a bit of exaggeration) maintainance
i haven't reached my second free service as yet but from what i have seen during my time(days) spent at the service centre is that hyundai parts are not cheap as we think they are. let me pen down some prices
