To start with , hi NEIL and i hope that you are ok health wise after banging up your friends car while trying to save the guy on a bike !! do let us know .
Hi to everyone and hope you all are well .
I ONCE AGAIN test drove the verna today in the eve, being a sunday wifee was home and wanted to see how the rear seats were for her comfort wise .
thankfully the hyundai plaza guys in delhi were coming to My part of town for a td , so they also said they would come over to my place .
2 young guys came ( extremely polite and sweet ) I drove while wifee sat next to me and the 2 guys in the back seat . ( sorry forgot to mention that i am referring to a verna 1.6 automatic ) , anyway we went for a nice 10 - 15 mts drive , the car is smooth as hell and to be honest i think it should be a part of a higher segement WITHOUGHT increase in price -:)
i did have 3 questions though , and would highly appreciate your input on this .
1) we went over a speed breaker and " kheeeeeeshhhhhh " i said ooops , the car had hit the belly on the breaker !! how can this be avoided
2) i had read somewhere on this thread about the automatic climate control and fresh air thing , while driving i put the acc on and the car went on fresh air mode . is it that while on acc mode we will be getting outside polluted air inside the car !! could you guys please elaborate if this is a serious concern .
I would also like to mention that my friend was over and soon after the test drive we went out for dinner in his honda civic and i put on acc but in that car the air within car circulates and dosent automatically go to fresh air mode . ( i hope i have been able to explain myself here guys , sorry for confusion )
3) the fuel average display on the dash display showed 6.5
, when i inquired from the sales guy he said sir i can promise an average on atlest 9-10 in city with the way you drive , this car is showing only so low because this is a test car and people only want to screw it and drive fast !! is this right guys .
also i cant remember if it was neil , or nick or bazooka or topgun or bensam or simply ( please pardon for not remembering ) but one of you guys upgraded your tires to 205/ 60 / 16 , would my putting these tires in my car , a) reduce the fuel economy even more , b) would they increase the height by a little so i dont scrape speedbreakers .!!
lastly i AM IN LOVE WITH THIS CAR the honda city in my opinion is NO COMPARISON to this beauty and i will be booking this in the coming week . its smooth as silk and is so comfy to drive , i at this point am not even taking into consideration the frills with the car where a guys feels he is getting what he has paid for -:)
i hope for you valuable inputs and thank you once again for everything
Drive safe and God bless
