Hi guys,
i brought 2003 M800 this Friday .

If you guys remember long ago i was trying to find Highway car for travelling to Himachal then i decided later that i will buy separate car for Himachal and will use train service to reach there and come from there .

It cost me around 87k from TrueValue from Maruti
It had 57700 KM that time but who know what's real KM . when we did TD we found car engine responding ok so we went ahead and other parts were good condition .

Right now i am also in himachal and also car . Will post pic later

Total distance travelled 400KM in which thanks to new seat cover company gave Ride was comfortable .

But driving non electric steering was making me feel like that soon i will become like arnold if continue driving it for nonstop for month

Only thing i didn't liked was braking it was very scaring so didn't drive it over 60 speed on same highway were i used to drive my safari at speed of 100

Now when i told my friends about it they said you are stupid you should have brought diesel well i expected this .

I replied why the heck i need diesel car just for 100-150month running . It doesn't make sense . Petrol car will be any day cheaper in maintenance compare to diesel .

Now only problem remain is that alignment issue car keeps pulling little bit to left and when i go over 80 it start vibrating lot :/

What i calculated that i will recover my money in 2years if we compare with taxi charges which we used to pay 1K Per Day if we take taxi car for whole day

here you goes guys few random pic (sorry i am not good photographer [;)])

I was waiting for our driver to come as father forgot mobile at home . while taking this pic i later notice that i can see safari in it .

Re: Maruti 800 2003

Congratulations! And welcome to Maruti 800 club. Which variant is it and what colour? Yes, the steering is non-powered but still quite accurate. My car too has developed lots of squeaks and rattles but one eventually gets used to them. Post the pictures soon.

Drive Safe,

Re: Maruti 800 2003

It makes a sound choice to buy a M800 for that kind of use. Although it squeaks and rattles but it can be fixed very easily and cheaply. I am sure it will serve you good [:)]

Congrats for the 800 [thumbsup] It should serve your purpose well considering its easy maintainance history. Can you please share your experience of interaction with Maruti True Value people? It would give insight and help potential buyers from True Value.

Congrts Buddy welcome to M800 club.

I am definitely sure that you will love the drive of the vehicle in another one month and will hesitate to take your safari.
