Hi friends today i am going to post my short term ownership review with my new swift vxi(o).
Selection of Cars:- I had shortlisted cars from various segments
1.)Honda City VX
2.)XUV 5OO W6
3.)Fiat Punto Abarth
4.)Volkswagen Polo GT TSI
5.)Ford Aspire
6.)Ford Figo
7.)Ford Ecosport
8.)Swift VXI(O)
9.)Innova Crysta
Then suddenly the situation arised due to which for at least 4 to 5 years i have to leave outside surat so the use of car was not so much and also the car will only be used in city most of times by my parents and only when for 2 or 3 months when i will be at home car will hit the highways so priority was low maintenance cost hassle free ownership and higher resale value as car would be used very less and i am used to change car ever 4 to 5 year and not wanted to sell the car at very low price which was used very much less especially on highways.
So i shortlisted two cars Hyundai elite i20 asta,Maruti swift VXI(O) then as i mentioned the low maintenance cost was priority as well as good resale value so i was not having any option other than forgetting about Hyundai elite i20 asta.So finally made my mind for Maruti Swift VXI(O).
Pre booking expirience.
I visited on friday evening to Kataria automobiles at piplod i was warmly welcomed by sales person Mr Manish Kapadia as he was busy with delivery of one car he requested if i could wait for 5 minutes and i did so thenafter he came to meet me he first ask me for tea,coffee etc to which i said no than he asked me my requirements i told him my requirements than he started me explaining about various cars but as i was firm with my decision i told him i am interested in Swift VXI(O) so he quoted me 6,61,198 for Swift VXI(O) i opted for Swift VXI(O) instead of Swift VXI because safety is main concern and Swift VXI(O) comes with ABS and passenger side airbags as Swift VXI only comes with Driver side airbag.Then he arranged me the test drive i was really impressed by the quality and the refinement level was absolutely the best i was really impressed by the music system the quality of the music system in swift is far more better than that one in ertiga after a short test drive we came back to showroom he than quoted me on road price with 10,000 discount and 1,000 discount for my mother who is goverment employee so final on road price was 6,50,198 for my Swift VXI(O) then he gave me the accessories combo kit price list for swift which was 24,640

The above mentioned combo kit i feel bit expensive and also some of the accessories given are of no use to me so i refused to go with the combo kit and told him i will select accessories independently to which he said ok and thenafter as i am not a type of person who can wait longer so i told him that from white,silver,granite grey,glistering grey whichever colour is available with you soonest give me that colour than enquired and told me that white colour is available with him so i decided to go with white and paid him the booking amount of 5,000 and than on monday i paid the remaining 6,45,198 and than on next day he called me to come for pre delivery inspection so after that he can procceed for paper work so in evening i went to the showroom for PDI car visually look fine than i saw VIN number and to my surprise car was manufactured of May 2017 so i said ok and further delivery process was started than i went for selection of accessories to their accessories department and now the accessories i had chossen costed me 14,726 the list of accessories is as under

Than they told me as they have many cars for delivery they won't be able to fit all the accessories and deliver me the car on next day than i was supposed to take delivery of my car on specific day i told them that its ok if they cannot fit accessories till next day i will take delivery of my car in the situation in which it is and will fit accessories on 1st service than they were convinced to fit all the accessories and deliver me my car on next day.
So finally the day came when i was about to take the delivery of my vehicle i reached the showroom in afternoon and it took me around 45 mins to complete all the paper work than i was taken to the 2nd floor where my car was getting ready for delivery ceremony then after a quick photo session the sales person explained me all the features and gave me a short test drive before delivery than afterwards thanking everybody i went to fuel station from the showroom and i should say the sales person Mr Manish Kapadia and all the peoples in Kataria Automobiles were very down to earth and co-operative and most important thing they know how to keep the promise and i think this is also the one reason why Maruti cars are most selling cars in India due to the co-operative and good nature of the dealers.
My car came with OSRAM 60/55W H4 bulb so i was planning to upgrade to Philips 100/90W H4 bulbs but than i don't want headache of bulb or fuse blown at any time and also the headlights becomes fade with time so i planned to upgrade to Philips Premium vision 60/55W H4 bulbs and bought it from dealer itself which costed 1200 rupees for pair and i am greatly impressed by the high beam of Philips premium vision it very well compensate the absence of 100/90W bulbs and also the peace of mind is great thing however low beam is not very impressive i would recommend anyone for Philips Premium vision 60/55W H4 bulbs.My car came with CEAT 165/80R14 tyres so i upgraded to PIRELLI Cinturato P4 180/75R14 it costed me 25,000 for 5 tyres and i got 11,500 discount for CEAT 165/80R14 5 tyres i fell that ride quality has been improved after upgrading to PIRELLI Cinturato P4 also accidentally i hited the footpath with new PIRELLI Cinturato P4 than there was no damage to the tyre whereas when i hited same footpath in past with my Ford Ikon wearing MRF ZV2K the tyre got burst so one can assume the difference in quality of both this brands
Than i took my car on weekend to Nareshwar it is a pligrimage near palej village the roads there are too much horrible as the road is mostly used by AMW dumpers to transport sand at that time also i was able to cruise at good speed so at that time i was able to test suspension and ground clearance of swift and wow my swift passed with flying colours in this test.I did tank full to tank full method and the average i got was 16.54kmpl with 100% AC on i had done 695 kms in 42 liters of petrol
Ride quality of swift is very good and the sleek gearbox gives ease of driving in traffic whereas good feedback from its steering and suspension tuned on harder side gives confidence while cornering hard in excess of 100kmph the rear seat is good only for 2 adults on long trip and yes the 1.2 liter VVT engine is butter smooth and when one presses pedal to the metal engine goes like anything and there is no turbo lag with 5 adults on board with AC on.
I will post more details of 1st service and details of many other kms with this raw power mill.
