Off late, I have been experiencing lots of loud thud noises while going over pot holes and also the rear simply sinks when 4people are seated. After a water wash, I checked the rear dampers and found that the dampers were leaking lots of oil and the coil itself is too soft.
In the recent TAI
meet, Varun drove the car and confirmed that my rear suspension is 100% dead and needs replacing. Hence went ahead and purchased all MGP parts
2 COILS - 460/- Each
2 Dampers - 800/- Each
Labour - 300/-
Just changed it this afternoon at a FNG and the difference is felt right from the start. The ground clearance is now raised by an Inch and so is the seat height. The rear feels planted even when cornering @ 60 - 70kmpl the typical tallboy attributes are now reduced. Posting a few photos of the same.
Notice the greasy damper in this pic, that's the oil + dust combo.
Also changed air filter, as the current one was in bad shape.
