Horn Upgrade to Roots Windtone (From my old car)
Got the horn changed last weekend. No wires cut and no splices. Direct plug and play.
Used the parts catalogue manual to find out what all are the screws or clips that holds the bumper.
Parts Catalogue Image
Started to remove the bumper by unscrewing the screws and clips on left and right sides which we see once we open the bonnet. [Number 13 (Clip) and Number 14 (Screw) from Parts Catalogue Image]
Then removed the screw near both the front Tyre wells. [Number 10 (Screw) from Parts Catalogue Image]
Now under the bumper there are 4 screws and 4 clips to be removed. [Number 15 and Number 13 from Parts Catalogue Image]
pull the corners of the bumper which will be fixed in its place using a holder on wither side of the car. [ Number 5 from Parts Catalogue Image]
Completely removed bumper.
There are 2 horns placed one below the other as seen in the below image. One is marked as H(High) and other as L (Low).
Now removed the Horn marked as L and placed one Roots horn there and the other near the coolant inlet as I couldn't fix the roots horn in the slot due to its shape
. So didn't remove the horn marked as H and left it as it is. Routed the stock wiring and fixed the pins to roots horn placed at coolant inlet and the other set of pins to the one positioned at Horn L.
