alloys. I have swapped the steel wheels with HRS alloys but not upgraded the tyres. They are still 165 65R14 good years. I want to eliminate the possibilty of a mismatch of alloys and tyres hence the question.
Honestly, I haven't crossed 120 yet :).. But the car is very much stable at 110 which I touched a few days ago. But I'm confident that upgrading tyres would help, particularly, at higher speeds. I remember the stock tyres never inspired any confidence at high speeds and bad roads which ultimately pushed me to upgrade.
One more suggestion. The Earth1 Yokohama tyres are great and pretty much value for money but they aren't as silent as michelin XM2 ones. One of my friends has them on his ride and they feel so much better. See if you can stretch your budget a little bit and get michelins.
