4) Gear shift and clutch are hard.
I agree with these. I will give the Pros and cons of the Jazz over the Baleno
Centrally mounted fuel tank
Very soft suspension
Tall boy design, so easier ingress and egress
Large glass house
Nearly a lakh more expensive than corresponding Baleno trim. The 40K difference you are seeing is the base cost on the Jazz v/s the Baleno with all options. Its a marketing strategy by Honda dealers
Very light build (though Baleno is not much better). There are a lot of stories of owners removing the door panels for speakers and ending up with dents just doing that ABS
+ Airbags from SV variant only
Interior plastics are very cheap looking
I found that while driving, the OVRMs are not in the first place you look
Very had gear box. However, while driving my brother's car, I noticed that his movement into 1 & 2nd gears was much smoother
Weird stick throws. I found that the optimal seating position for me put the gear stick out or reach
Even the SV variant has some very basic ICE
Not fun to drive. I had several instances that the 1st gear or 2nd gear was fully engaged but the car didn't want to accelerate momentarily and then jumped forward
Cornering is not as fun as the Baleno though I haven't driven at higher speeds
Expensive OE spares. Heck, even the seat covers cost 21k from the showroom
