Are these bumper & door protecters official for Zest? How much did they cost? Please share some snaps of door protecters. They are not clear in these pics.
IMHO, rear bumper protecters would look good if pasted along the rear bumper crease line like the front ones. |

| Re: Tata Zest XT Revotron - My New Family Member Can anyone suggest me any exterior treatments for the car. 3M offers exterior paint sealant and also they put a Paint protection film which actually protects the paint from small scratches and also from stone hits from vehicles. Need help on this guys. Since mine is blue, even the smallest of the smallest scratch is visible. |

The PPF is sustainable but extremely expensive by 3M. Have you asked them how much will they charge for front and rear bumper?

Akash | I dint ask for complete bumper, but he said it would cost 491 per sq ft.

At the most go for a pair of bumper guards (the transparent one).
You would surely be aware of a saying " The ship is safest in the dockyard...but its not meant to be there". Similarly, if you go for all these treatments then you'll become much more conscious while driving. Hence, my humble suggestion would be to let the car be as simple as possible.

| Re: Tata Zest XT Revotron - My New Family Member Purchased the TAI stickers. Looks great.
Done 500 km till now. getting around 11.2 km mileage with 80% AC. 50% of the times, i drive in ECO mode. Most of the times, its peak bumper to bumper Bengaluru's traffic. But when ever I take it on plain roads, the mileage seems to increase very sharply. Loving the ride quality and the infotainment system. I feel as if I am driving a premium car.

| Re: Tata Zest XT Revotron - My New Family Member Hi Guys,
Couple of questions. I have taken delivery of my RED RT XT and have not driven at all after taking delivery on 25th Dec. I have observed few things as i start the engine everyday and keep it on for 10 mins.
1. The engine rpm raises to 1200 and then settles down to 650- 750.
2. There is slight jerk/jump/movement which can be felt in car and in steering also while the car is idiling.
other than the above i could not find any issue as of now. Could you please let me know if these are normal with Revotron or do i need to visit the service center and get it clarified. Thanks in advance. |

I beleive you know that zest is a turbocharged petrol engine. And for a turbo charged engine, the engine needs to be heated up for maximum performance. And that's the reason we follow the 30-45 sec idling rule both when starting and shutting off the engine. So in order to heat it up quickly what happens is when ever the engine is cold the engine will spin at higher rpm so that the turbo is heated up quickly and once it's reached the optimum temperature, it returns to 600-750 rpm. So it's better not to move your engine until it comes to normal rpm. It also helps the engine to give it's maximum performance.
Regarding the jerks, don't worry, since it's spinning at higher rpm for few minutes, you will fell it and once it's back to normal rpm, i don't think you even feel if the engine is switched on. |
