Hello rohit. Sorry for the delayed reply. I m from chennai and my area also my cars were badly affected by flood. No internet was available. This diwali i booked my new car and my choice was end up with new gen scorpio s10. I gone with the captain seats option. The main reason is i need a 5-6 seating capacity (excluding driver) and decent luggage space .
I dropped the xuv because of the following reasons . Not a 6 seater for widely build family (you know what i mean
) when chauffeur driven. Middle row is not equipped with sliding function . Last row can be used for only one person either 1 adult or a kid because one seat need to be folded for dumping luggages. I love the w6 version therefore i enquired for alloys wheels and price at the dealership is 10150/- without exchange of oem
rims. I didn't get good sets in the aftermarket though. No idea of what i will do with unused steel rims. The car looks ugly without good set of alloys . I m not ready to spend one more lakhs for accessories.
Reason for choosing scorpio:
- powerful engine. (Xuv is better tuned along with 6 speed gearbox. But the scorpio is not a new one for me. Had travelled and used 3 scorpios of my uncles car. The ride quality and the power offered by it which is more enough and i can live with it.
- less maintenance when compare to xuv. I mostly don't get a covered parking too.
- 3 seating options ( dont like the 7sf options since third row is not easily accessible by ladies. 8FF is good for accommodate more passengers. 7CC is good for 6 passengers+ luggage. Middle areas can be filled with waterbottles, handluggages etc )
- top end is fully loaded. The car needs just 20-30k for accessories.
Thats all. Waiting for my mist silver scorpio s10 2wd .
