Disclaimer: I am no writer and I mean that. So if you find it little boring please bear with me. Also, views expressed here are of course my personal views with limited technical knowledge.

The 1st H came home in July 2012

{BUYING THE CAR }

Untitled589.gif
New cars idea came when my brother joined college and needed a car for his daily travel.
Buying and decision making process:
There was really a strong urge to buy a new car. Our criteria was simple car with good fuel efficiency. Daily drive was of 50 KM or more. We only wanted a petrol .We took 1 month for selection of car .Many cars were on our list as follow –

1) Honda Brio
+Honda
+Reliability
+Fuel Efficient
+Good after sales and spare part
-Space, Rear space.
-Simple Features missing

Almost finalized but cancelled .

2) Toyota Liva

+Toyota
+Never owned a Toyota
+Space
-Many
Did not do much research but read some reviews which were full of negatives so cancelled.

3)Maruti Suzuki Swift

+Owned 2 maruti 800 (1st gen 2 times), Ran for lakhs of Kilometers.
+Good after sales service,Reliability.
-Rear Space, No simple features like stereo etc .

Almost finalized but cancelled (Don’t exactly remember why)

4) Hyundai i10

+Hyundai Reliability (Ran Zantro more than 1 Lakh)
-Poor Mileage, i20 better

5) Hyundai i20

+Hyundai
+Features
+Enjoyed car ,Space
-Mileage

Decided on Hyundai i20 [:)]

Booked car on 20th July. Got delivery on 27th July . Color was to be chosen Between White and Silver .Silver was opted due to many reasons.
Variant choosing was difficult
We opted Magna (0) as price difference was much and didn’t had Knowlegde about Benefit of ABS ,Airbag .[frustration]

The final on road price was five lakh fifty thousand. Booking process was good but In RC they created a problem .Wrote wrong name and needed to complete many formalities again .It was brought from MGF Hyundai. It has run till 12000 KM in 1year 8 months. 2 services have done. It is 70%chaffured and rest by my father and Brother.

Quick Stats about Hyundai i20
ACCIDENTS –None
Faults – Minor no Major
Highway Trips -2
Comfortable –Yes
Good Mileage –No [anger]

Congratulations _Ankit_.
How is the Mileage? How much you are getting?
Your selection process is not justified? Post interior pictures.
Thanks .I will post them soon .
Mileage don't ask Mathew ![frustration] .
Last summers it returned a very thirsty mileage of 6-7 KMPL with AC .
In winters it increased to 10-11 KMPl or even 12 KMPL.
Highest is 16 KMPL on a Highway .

Thanks for reading.

Great review!

My opinion for the second review, don't edit the pics too much, just give us unfiltered pics from many different angles so we can get a good overall view of the vehicle.

Ankit, your Review needs more finesse.
I loved your Pics but some of them are overdone.

Take inspiration from some of my reviews here-
http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...ue-boy-hyundai-i10-magna-detailed-review.html
http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...oo-detailed-review-decals-audio-led-mods.html

You need to cut the review in small sections like-
Looks
Performance
Comfort
Safety
efficiency
special features
Perks (pecular noticeable stuff)

You then need to elaborate each section with about a paragraph of writing.
Put Pics in each section to help. Eg. If you are explaning about the Headlight, Show a pic of headlight and beam output. If you are explaining music system, show that.
my XUV thread has a lot of this if you scroll down

I will not mind if you copy some headings/sections from My threads and use them for your vehicle.Spend about a week writing and refining your thread before putting it live. Make it a masterpiece!

{EXTERIORS }[:)]
A.gif

Design of Headlights ,Taillights - Brilliant ,Too much Detailing in Front and has only 1 reverse light ,other is Fog lamp .
They come out and came easily break and have scratches.Headlights enhance the looks very much .

9.jpg
F.jpg

Below Rear Taillight is reflectors and parking sensors which are boon in parking .
Reverse Camera standard from Sportz . Parking sensors are factory fitted and gives beep and no display .
E.jpg

Fog lamps and DRLs are also standard from Sportz . Hyundai has made the space fluidic with black and chrome covering .Notice how parts come out .

8.jpg

There are no alloy wheels .Like the wheel cap design .Tyre size is also stock .No future plan for upgrading.

45.jpg

Love the black grill it makes the car look apart .

2.jpg
1.jpg

Well its based on fluidic philosophy and its full of it !It runs from fuel lid to end .

89.jpg

Bonnet also has lines which are simple according to me

G.jpg

VTVT stands for Variable Timing Valve Train. this technology is used in mostly top end models of cars. In India only Hyundai has this technology which is vastly used in Hyundai Verna,i10 and i20.
