Yep with the effect of environment colors gets different shades so its better to five them fuel lead or toeing hook cover (If present) for matching.
That is what I thought too. The guy there said he has the proper colour code for Pepper Grey BUT he would prefer it if I could bring him the fuel lid for colour matching. Since I didn't know anyone who would remove the fuel lid and since I wanted to just touch up a small scratch, I asked him to give my one mixed according to the code he had and he did that. Looked proper to me.
But for the denting-painting job, I thought I'd give him the tow hook cover and get it properly matched.
