I have been following this thread for many months now (although anonymously) and want to sincerely thank Parth (for starting probably one of the oldest threads on Grand i10) and all other very active members on this thread for posting such helpful stuff, which really helped me and many others here to go for the Grand i10.
I bought my Grand Asta (O) Petrol (Twilight Blue) in Jan '14 and have clocked 7k+ kms till now. Have been using it mostly for city commuting with a few highway trips and glad to say I'm a very happy Grand i10 owner *touchwood*.
Here are my 2 cents on some of the earlier discussions on this thread, hope this helps:
1. Regarding the water droplets from underbody front - this is completely normal as the A/C removes moisture from the air inside cabin. I have observed this on many other cars having the A/C running. Although I wonder if that water, instead of being drained, could be used to refill the windsheild washer water container
. In case anyone observes water droplets even while A/C is off, it may indicate potential leakage from the windshield washer water container.
2. Not sure if anyone else has observed this, but sometimes after turning the engine off, the cabin lights don't turn on automatically (I have set them to 'Door' mode). This seems to be a software bug, including few others that may have been the very cause of the well known Battery drainage issue. Whenever I observe this, I restart the engine and turn it off again - ensuring the lights turn on the second time. I am guessing the software kind of hangs and then works fine upon going through a kind of reboot sequence? Experts may comment more on this.
Side note: The windshield washer water container on my Grand ran out of water a few days ago and while refilling, I was quite surprised to see it can hold about 3 liters of water! Got me thinking that maybe I have been using it too often
