It was really low on the road and no reflector was in place. Thankfully, everyone in the car was wearing seat belts including my 5-year-old son so nobody was injured. My car is now 7 months old and around 4000Km now.
The car has been taken to the nearest Hyundai service station. I was told that it would take some time. Since I am claiming the insurance don’t think that I will have to put much money. But the service manager could not tell exactly how much it will cost. I was told that will have to replace the lower arm, bumper, engine guard, cross bumper, gear cable, fuel line etc. Does anybody know how much it will cost? Also, is there any problem with grand i10 parts availability? | Sorry about that, good thing is everyone is safe. Looking at the pictures it is very difficult to gage the damage. This is the best time you start reading about the insurance claims and how to avoid scams. Many topics about insurance are available here in this forum and out side this forum google is your friend.
Regarding the parts availability it depends where you live. To get my right side rare view mirror fixed it took almost a week due to be parts unavailability but I'm pretty sure in few weeks your grand will be back on roads. |

| Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review Hi Guys,
Here is an update about the performance of the car after the second Free services done on 27 Oct 14.
After driving this car for almost 2 months after 2nd free services i can say that things have gotten better. Not that there was something wrong before 2nd free services but i can notice the fine tuning that has been done on this car.
Fine tunings like
Clutch bite adjustments.
Head lamps adjustments.
Pick up of the car.
Here are some pics that i took last weekend after washing the car. I polish it after every 3 or 4 washes. I am currently getting almost 20KM/L milage on the highways and 13 to 15 inside the city with AC. The last pic shows that i have covered 254Km with roughly 12 to 14 Ltrs of fuel consumption. I know the first quarter for the fuel gage holds roughly 10 to 11Ltrs of petrol (tried it couple of times by refilling the first empty quarter till auto cutoff, it holds not more than 11ltrs) and i always do Full tank to full tank calculation.

| Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review Hi People. Got drls for my car. I think it looks quite good with the upgrade. Hyundai service centre wasnt willing to fix it as it is not the standard fitment for the car hence had to get it done from outside. There arent any chrome rings around the fog lights as was in the factory fitted fog light housing which im fine with as I'm not a chrome fan anyways. Here are some pics.

| Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review Today morning SA shared me a price hike document from Hyundai Vice president. As per the document Grand i10 ex showroom price will be increased by 25,000 to 45,000.
Now he is pushing for the purchase of November made grand i10 available the yard. I am bit confused here, is this a marketing trick to clear of old stokes from yard. |

| Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review Hyundai officially going to increase the price hike. Not only Hyundai but all the manufacturers going to increase the prices as excise duty cut will be over by Dec 31. Dealers will say anything to push the 2014 stocks and increase their profits.

Secondly, the dealer will try to clear the stock within this month hence there is ample chances of getting discount or freebies. |

what is the cost? and Any Wiring changes? | Hi Parth
It costed INR5500 approx. There arent any wiring changes as such, just that one of the wire will be connected to the parking light wire of the car so that when the parking light is turned on the drls get 50% dimmer. The other 2 wires are connected to the battery. Hyundai wont do it for you as this is not part of the standard fitment provided by the company. I'll post the night pics soon. |
