An update after a long time. Since my running is not much hence didn't update the thread earlier. Two free services have been done and next service is due in August. Mileage indicator in city hovers between 13-14 km/l with AC.
Have done 2 highway trips till now, rest was city driving.
Awesome engine, whether at high or low speed, no problem in crawling traffic too.
Great and precise steering, so you really enjoy driving this car.
I love the seat height adjustment a lot! Even though I don't require it I push up the seat a few notches higher to get an even better view of the road ahead. This is a perfect car to drive in the city.
Road noise on concrete roads. Not sure if its specific to tire make (stock Goodyear) or on Honda skimping on proper insulation or both.
Boot, of course! Not so much as the space (space is adequate for my usage), its the way it is made - deep, dark, narrow and without a boot lamp.
Its really really difficult to take that spare wheel out of that narrow boot. And Honda have bolted the spare the wrong way so you cant fill air in the tire unless you take it out every time or just store it in the correct 'up position' in the boot without bolting it up. I need to get a long bolting screw made specifically for this problem from a local locksmith.
What could have been better:
Thickness of sheet metal is similar to Marutis. I expected it to match at least Hyundai cars but my dad's Grand i10 definitely has thicker skin.
Honda has got to include front airbags in all the variants. You don't expect such irresponsible cost cutting from brands like Honda. Adding 2 airbags would probably cost them only 10-15K extra, which everyone can afford.
Power window switches should remain active for a few seconds after switching off the engine. Its a great convenience feature missing in Brio. Same is the case with non auto-locking doors. Have missed these.
Gears are still not very smooth, especially 1st and 2nd. But they are getting smoother as I clock more miles. My dad's G10 has awesome feeling smooth gear shifts from day one :(
Ride quality is about average. Of course Brio is a driver's car so Honda prioritized handling over ride. I am not complaining here too much! This car puts a smile on your face every time you drive it.
