Had an 800 km trip and fared well and on ghats Barricade was the king. Michelins and corner-ability made it better cornering machine than Duke. Grip offered was unmatched. It held well even on gravel without any sign of skidding or fishtail.
On the way back, speedo sensor went kaput and lost some 300 km of odo reading
Bought new sensor. 670 bucks.
And an oil filter. 40 bucks.
Made by Pricol. There are ones in Pricol packing that comes at 150 bucks, but never worked with FZ.
COmpared to old one. Too much play in old one, resulting in vague readings.
Headlight level adjustment bolt.
Fuel gauge was also not working. So cleaned the connector and working fine.
Chain slack adjustment, for Rakesh
Loosen the axle.
Chain tension adjuster. Inner one is for adjusting, outer one is locking nut to keep it in position.
Loosen the locking nut. Tightening the adjustment nut will tighten the chain and vice versa. Make sure to adjust equally on both sides.
Check for chain slack. There should be 1 cm free play from resting position of chain. Rotate the wheel and find the tightest position and check slack there.
Tighten the axle and then tighten the locking nut. Use 2 spanners, one to hold the adjusting nut and one to tighten the locking nut.
