@Gurrala74; had stated in this thread sometime back that Autocop is unreliable.
And after using it for one year I fully agree.
Incident 3 days back -
My parents had gone out. Father was sitting in the car while my mother must have stepped out to buy something. When she came back My father was not able to open the door for her. The locking mechanism on the passenger side door refused to work from outside as well as inside. She had to sit at the back and come home.
The system was fine after some time
Incident a month back-
I parked the car at home and forgot to take out the key. The car locked itself ( which shouldnt happen if the key is inside ) I found this wiered and broought the other remote ( thank god I was at home ) but the car didnt open with the other remote too. And it wasnt a batter problem with the other remote since we use both the remotes. One key stays with me and other with dad. The LED on the remote was working but the car didnt open. Finally did manual unlocking with key , the siren went off ( because I was doing manual unlocking and not using the remote ) and took out the other key.The system since then was behaving fine till the second incident reported above. So, In short Autocop is unreliable.
And the problem is that this is dangerous. What if I am out of town. I will not have the second remote all the time. Worse what if someone is locked inside and the system gets jammed.
The system has 3 years warranty but I wouldnt be able to reproduce the problem in front of them.Max I can do is push for a replacement.
What do you guys suggest ??
Other stupid problems with autocop which shouldnt be there-
1 the locks from inside are abnormally hard ( maybe because of inferior guns )
2 the system locks itself after 10 secs of ignition.Better programming would be to get locked when the car is moving and exceeds 20kmph or so.
3 that typical twee twee sound which I can in no way silent as per my choice.
