Why don't you try out Matte black. That might make it look delicious . |

| 70,000 Km done and highway trip!!! Car has completed 70,000 Km on Monday and had 900 Km trip to AP this week. Now,present odo is 70,700 Km.Still 4000 Km for 75000 Km service. This month running would be more as my cousin marriage is nearing as his marriage is in Guntur.March would be a bad month for Vento because of intercooler damage and denting and painting. Now,she is back to duty.

Did you hit it anywhere or did it bust with someother under ground element? Anyways after the bad month guess its ready for some hard work. My Vento's left side running board damaged . When turning in a narrow turn there was a huge stone and thwack, a huge dent. |

| Re: Beige Hound: Volkswagen Vento TDi Ownership Review Now,its time for updates.Michelin Primacy 3ST has completed more than 27000 Km without any wheel alignment and tread looks good. Can't upload new pics as I can't upload from my Nexus. My next tyre upgrade would be 205/55R15.Now odo is nearing to 71000 Km.Will keep the car till it crosses 1L Km.Vento DSG would be the replacement for Vento TDI Manual. As of now,my dad is thinking to buy Rapid TDI DSG as the second car at home as the present offer is good. But I was against it and said will buy Honda City used one. BTW,I found one City VMT 2011 27K run and seller is quoting 6.75L.But,he will be reducing to 6.35L.Petrol is better option as we don't go anywhere as we have Vento for these things.Recently had a ride in my friend's Jetta DSG and boy I was impressed with this car.I like the way it handles. My friend suggested me that if you want to go for DSG+Diesel,go for Vento Diesel DSG as Skoda A.S.S is not good in Hyderabad.

| Re: Beige Hound: Volkswagen Vento TDi Ownership Review Good buddy. Let me know how do you feel about the larger set of tyres as even I got to upgrade too. Finished around 44k with stock tyres and pucca maintainence given and still there is life left in them so guess will be changing mine once I touch 50k kms. Would like to know how does the car feel with the larger tyres. Regarding the City it sound a tad expensive.Even Rs.6.35L is tad expensive. Try to bargain to Rs.6.00 L or Rs.5.75 L as its a previous generation car. Regarding Rapid DSG, if its a good deal then go for it as its a good car and if you're getting a Vento try to wait till the festive season as a facelift is arriving. |

Still 1500 Km for her 75000 Km service. Now,present odo is 73400 Km as of today morning.
Michelin's has done 30,000 Km in a year.Still it would last another 10-15K Km.
Regarding new car, thinking of hatchbacks like Swift,i20 or Polo as there is no parking space for another sedan. As of now,our present second car at home is Swift VDI last gen(brother's ride) which has run 55000 Km in 4 years(completing 4 years this July). BTW,did you own a new gen Fiesta Aniruthan?

So it's choice between Polo and i20.
Polo is much better then i20, but space is tight and interiors are identical to Vento & Rapid. That's the same reason why I forced my brother to buy i20 instead of Polo. Apart from Space and slightly higher service costs, the Polo is a fantastic choice. But Hyundai's aren't cheap if serviced at Authorized Service Centre too. Another option I would like to recommend is the Honda Jazz which is an excellent car and will be launching in June/July. I think you should wait for it, if not it's a missed opportunity. I don't think any car comes to it in terms of overall packaging. |

| Re: Beige Hound: Volkswagen Vento TDi Ownership Review Well, your Vento impressed you alot and you were really interested on another Vento as your second car. So if you are toght on parking space and looking for a hatchback, why not consider the Polo as its a Vento without a boot. You can get the GT TDi or GT TSi (both are astonishing performers) and get almost a similar feel of Vento except for tighter space on the inside. Regarding the i20, that's a good choice and is good VFM. Handling still may not be the Polo league but it has come a long way up. But if its performance only you are looking for then it's the Polo. But a comfortable family car i20 it is. |

| Re: Beige Hound: Volkswagen Vento TDi Ownership Review Car has completed 74700 Km and nearing to 75000 Km service.Tomorrow we have planned for 1000 Km trip to Kolhapur and will be back by Friday. My concern is we planned to get the car serviced but due to lack of time planning to skip it.Is it advisable to drive the car without getting serviced? |
