. This is a discussion on Peal Mirage White (YPA) Suzuki Access 125 within Ownership Reviews. Part of The Automotive Reviews category; Viru for your eyes only. The pics are taken in Mall light conditions please forgive the mall owner,
HID=High Intensity Discharge. These lamps work by high voltage electricity passing between 2 electrodes in a gas-filled chamber. They require a buildup of potential difference followed by discharge in ONE direction only, while filament bulb can glow by current passing in EITHER direction.
There's 3 possible outcomes from his cheap job:
1. The HID will not work properly and be very dim/flickering (Most likely)
2. The lamp will burn out very quickly.
3. He may just fit a blue coated filament bulb that is designed to look like an HID!
If you want HIDs, make sure it is a proper installation involving Ballasts, etc.
Fitted a White LED fog light to the no.plate yesterday evening.10W12V as usual.
Had a long discussion with my Splash Auto electricals expert.
HIDs- NO- reason being Suzuki swish batter yes not powerful enough and I dont want toconvert to full DC as thats costly and risky as well.
LED headlight willnot fit snugly into the headlight sockets the microprocessor cooling fan will not hold enough.Plus this one willcost 15W+
The fog light came cheap 480bucksfrom a aftermarket shop. Will fit it using a toggle switch from batter thru the ignition key same way as DRLs and LED strips.
Viru See these final pics, It was horrible fitting these no one to help me while fitting, using a toggle On-Off switch near the accelerator grip (basic drilling jobs done today morning at a local shop.)Connected to the battery-all checks andquality testing done, seems pretty much fine!!!The only issue is if seeing directly the opposite side car/bike guy will go blind its so powerful.CREE LED 10W single Big size.Clear white daylight cool till approximately 2 big sedans ahead of me!!!
