Thanks a lot for your suggestions:
Yes, proper care of the engine is very much required in all sorts of vehicles, be it be a bike, car or even a DG set.
This remind me of my Karizma Run in period when i used to drive it around 50-55kmph and even boxer ct and other 100cc bikes used to overtakes me. and i was like wait guys let me complete my 2000kms than i'll show you what Karizma is all about. And the positive is its engine is around 80K old and still running like new....
Yes the following things i have planned for RUN IN period of 2000 kms:
1.) 0-500 kms : Run the engine for atleast 2min in morning before starting the drive and i should not exceed more than 2200-2500 rpm at any cost and in any gear.
2.) 500-1000 kms: Run engine for atleast 2 min and should not exceed more than 2500 rpm.
3.) After first Service 1000-2000 kms: Run the engine for atleast 2 min and should not exceed 3000 rpm in any gear.
Note: 1 minute idling is also planned before i switch off the engine in night.
AFter 1500kms only i'll take her to hills of uttrakhand and also carry more than 5 person only after 1500 kms.
Lets hope for the best that i'll get my number today or tommorw.
ANy other suggestions regarding run in are welcome..
