As long as the parking brake holds off the vehicle its fine, not to worry, since the main function is executed as it. But do check with TASS, regarding the noise part.
The parking brake in my Zest RT is tightened and now working as it should. My service centre's (VST Motors, Cuddalore) service manager and technicians are skilled and cordial, but a professional touch to the work is glaringly missing. The handbrake is tightened, but the small plastic cap which covers/hides the screw below is broken off. It might be silly on pointing this, but these small issues make a huge impact on the customer's perception. TATA motors or if anyone associated with it (which I wish somebody is), are monitoring this thread on this very forum, it is my humble recommendation to upgrade your service centres. All a customer wants for a wholesome experience are proper care and tending his/her complaints. Please do care for the customer's vehicle and his ideals. Not all do care for their drives. But some do more than others, respect theirs. My wishlist for a better service facility
1. Cover all of steering wheel, ICE Head unit and entire dashboard with a snug fit plastic/vinyl cover to prevent unwanted scratches on the dash.
2. Use plastic prying tools to open up dash board covers and not metal tipped screw drivers.
3. Use a plastic/vinyl cover over the front fenders to lean on and attend the service on the engine bay.
4. Please do communicate directly (TATA Motors to customer) the nature of ECU update, ICE head unit update, any other critical and necessary details directly to the customer. All a customer has is his/her faith on TATA motors and this is the capital over which the service centre rely on.
PS: Am in no way complaining nor venting out my frustration over my
service centre, but wishing that such an improvement would benefit and improve the image of the TATA service centres more than the present one.
