I double checked it with him. He said its not discontinued.
The Ford Fiesta has been moved to brand building only as per Harry Fords Nevin. He is a sales Associate Manager, he said the Fiesta will be given to customers as against order car with a waiting period of 30 days, only Titanium will be sold. This is done to give room for new Ecosport facelift which has all the features of Fiesta sedan, with better space,GC,etc
Ford itself is not promoting new Global Fiesta as Ford India will be designing and building a new Fiesta in India and will be launched by 2017,
The Indian designed new Fiesta will be worlds 1st Chennai designed, built, crafted and indegenious product Ford Mo Co has ever done other than from USA,GERMANY,UK,AUSTRALIA,CHINA,BRAZIL
The new Fiesta will share the same B platform as in current Fiesta with longer wheelbase ,
The new Fiesta will have two new forms, one will be for Europe,USA, and other for Asia,Australia,Africa,South America ,India etc where the European and US model will have much lore sporty setup while the lower hemisphere will get a bsck seat centrified car, the benchmark Ford has kept for building new Fiesta is the Honda City, Ford will also launch a 7 seat MPV based on the upcoming Fiesta by 2017, which have same same engines options as of Fiesta to rival,Lodgy,Innova, etc
So the current Fiesta owners are enjoying and will be enjoying a true ICON, a true enthusiasts car, Ford also has assured 15 years of availability of parts service equipments, accessories for Fiesta too to support the customers who own Fiestas,
