That's the way it works in all Fords.I get so irritated when I drive my Dad's Figo. But I think it's a safety precaution as nobody can open the doors and run away with your valuables.

Aneesh.

Please look at export statistics provided by Ford for past 3 months - it is fluctuating 3k->5k->4k. Whereas domestic shipments have steadily decreased 6k->5k->4k.
It is more likely a production bottleneck or deliberately waiting till next year for a price hike. |

It is more likely a production bottleneck or deliberately waiting till next year for a price hike. | Yes its decreasing but overall the total sales has jumped 33% from what Ford had last year that is 2012, so for Ford India management mission accomplished, but the bigger story is the struggle is not over, the local suppliers are not completely reliable and local suppliers method of working is difficult to manage for Ford India, but thats no excuse for a customer, its Fords fault that they couldnt find the perfect supply chain and revenue system,
Maybe by 2014 January they figure out some centralized booking process so that at least the dealers can be controlled to an extent, if not Ecosport could be the black sheep for Ford destroying their classics and Figos name too
Ecoboost owners and 1.5 Petrol owners any updates on mileage ?
Vento 1.2 TSI launched and Polo GT TDI launched silently by VW Vento TSI
Rs 1118000 on road Chennai and already getting best Automatic sedan in India vote by almost all magazines and websites |

"Why are you selling the item for 7 times than the market price, and forcing customer to purchase only from you by threatening with warranty clause."
Can any one who has access to any legal help, get the weight-age in this statement?
We can at least send a legal notice on this. This should be sufficient enough so ring a few bells in FIL.
On a different note,
Has any one came across Metal Door Sills (Non-LED) for all 4 windows? I am already seeing few scratch marks in these areas.
Official Door Sills are costly and are only for front door
The one selling on ebay does not fit in rear doors because of the door curve. | Does door sill mean door scuff plates. If so, then good looking Metal LED scuff plates with (Ecosport) are available for Rs 950.00 (4 doors) in J C road. I have seen them, looked of nice quality. If you are in a hurry try them. The only factor is warranty. However they can be fixed without LED too and that ensures warranty intact. I am waiting for all accessories to come and then choose from them, which they said will be coming within 2-3 weeks. Probably some of them would have arrived by now.

The 2-3 week wait estimate is going on since 2 months when I visited JC Road last They told me the same at that time.
I will anyway go there sometime and will update about availability and pricing of accessories. |

Its like it comes 1ce in ever 10 mins. not bothering me a lot but still.
Try to shake the car hard up and down several times while stand still in a quite environment. I am sure you will replicate the sound and then show it to them. I saw the service guys doing that to many ES when my ES was at the service station. And yes there were quite some ESs with rattling issues which was of course fixed by the guys. | Hi Jeetu/Anisin, I noticed intermittent metallic ticking noise from rear left door and found the silver trim to be the culprit - getting it fixed over the weekend ( provided I am able to replicate it) |

The 2-3 week wait was meant for other accessories not that. I bought only 3D foot mats and mud flaps that time. Mud Flaps bought for Rs 300 which are about Rs 1400 with dealer. To make it easier for you the shop name is Pagaria Automobiles in J C Road cross (only sale, fitting not available with him). Just one more thing, I think ES 1.5 D is TDCI not TCDI Your signature.

@All :
One more thing, do we have to switch ON and OFF ACC manually every time since it gets automatically switched on and off when I start/stop in my titanium , I am more concerned as do we have to wantedly switch ON and OFF to prevent compressor from any damage before switching ON/OFF the engine ? |
