Safari/Storme may not have the overloading of features but the car actually do come with all the required/must features.
But I still feel NG scorpio is the biggest threat to Storme today and the damage is going to be significant.
, it won't. At least looking at the past and the way Safari held its flag even against the XUV which took the market by storm because the one who wants a Safari will still opt for it. FACT:
Scorpio may have got updated BUT seating and space remains nearly same. The actual pro of Safari/Storme is still maintained at its place.
Storme has earned respect in the last 2 years as it has proved be a non-typical TATA product.THis attracted non safari lovers as well. |
I feel the the focus will again shift to scorpio .
Storme and Scorpio are two completely different looking vehicles. One looks sophisticated and another looks aggressive. IMO
Scorpio will do more harm to sedans, SUVs like Duster, Terrano etc and even XUV too as compared to the damage it will cause to Safari/Storme. The basic reason behind this is that I have seen people saying "Its like XUV now" and this may cause people to get a BOF SUV against XUV for a lac or two lesser.

Straight line stability is the key here. Something that Safari/Storme is unmatched(Ignore Aria here) for by anything under 25 lac.
I havent driven XUV at a speed above 60kmph so really cant conclude. So replying on owners feedback and what is available to read. |
So I am still not fully convinced if type of chasiss XUV / (storme/scorpio) can be a deciding factor and if it can be said than XUV is better than Storme/scorpio just because of Monocoque .
This is more of a hype that BOF are having poor dynamics as compared to monocoque. Innova is a BOF and look at the dynamics of that vehicle.
The biggest drawback of XUV is that its having its front wheels driven, well... that takes half of the fun out of the equation. Code says:
While cornering, light throttle input gives you most of the joy and if the car is rear wheel drive then the joy is multiplied by two or three and I completely agree on this. I do own this FWD thing which puts 32kgm of twist but when you go uphill then the thing changes.
The lateral load transfer already transfers the weight to the rear(non powered wheels)while going uphill and the front wheels do cause a bit of understeer; after all they are pulling you in the corner and you have a long vehicle to pull.
While if the vehicle is RWD, then the lateral load transfer to rear wheels simply enlighten your directing wheels(front wheels) and this makes for a fantastic turn in while the rear wheels with immense grip keeps on pushing you ahead into corners.
I have driven both Aria and XUV quite well and I have my own reasons to believe that RWD is RWD, no matter even if FWD is a monocoque or BOF. Mind you:
I own an XUV, but that doesn't mean I'll hide my feelings and what I like.
Take it this way: A Lancer Evo maybe dynamically accomplished, but the joy of driving a muscle car(like the iconic Mustang) is simply unmatched. Question:
Doesn't one get bored driving a car which is simply following your directions? For me, the car that requires a bit of controlling is more fun, at least it keeps you involved. What ******** are these ESP, TCS etc? In fact what's the reason that all these supersports do come with options of switching off the ESP, TCS and other such electronics?
Well, because they take you away from driving. The drivers turn them off for having real fun out of their cars, after all it is always more fun to control your car yourself as compared to some electronics controlling half of it.

Now i am confused should i wait for couple of next months?
My brain says not to but My heart says wait....
When waited for so long, then why not wait for a month or two more?
