Three months before i used to drive my friend's Maruti 800(1997) it's my first experience in driving a 800.since then its my dream to own a 800.after two months of searching , i finally found my 800(1993).

I decided to give it a complete restoration and change the colour(red). There is no mechanical problem with the car,the engine is in good shape and new battery is provided by the previous owner..[:D]

Re: Rebuilding my 1993 m800

Hi,

All the best on your restoration, do let us know, as you progress what all you plan to do.

On a side note: first time a see an airhorn on a M800, my friends father had it in the '70's in his Amby.

All the best

Hi,
All the best for restoration. Maruti 800 is one of the vehicle with very less maintenance.
Hopefully you will enjoy your ride. Wishes to clock many more miles without issues.

First coat of painting is done.
From green to red...
Hi buddy, M800 has been an interesting and most VFM car through out it's life in India. There are fine and very well kept examples of the Maruti 800 on TAI. I am sure your's too will really be an interesting one. I would suggest, instead of repeated efforts by you to begin a thread in various sections of the forum, do pen-down a elaborate ownership review covering all the aspects i.e buying, your experience with the car, how do you maintain it and what do you plan in restoration of it. A detailed review will indeed help many of the info seekers and owners in long run. I believe, you should begin a fresh thread in T.I.P Zone of our forum and keep adding the needful content. Once done you may report it for upload by using the small triangle placed at corner of the post.

Regards

Akash
