To be honest, this discussion has scared the newbie like me (actually I consider myself newbie always in any field to learn new things coz the day I feel I've mastered any specific thing then the door for new things to learn would be closed for me forever).
I just want to put my honest opinion that although oneself might not be so versed with photography basics & mandatory skills but that doesn't take away oneself's thought process behind the snap, only thing is, oneself may not be that expert in projecting the things in a perticular expected way of photography basics but then here comes the role of expert one to guide the oneself. Not to mention GUIDE only not pull legs. IMO
only thing is right person at right place at given point of time to click good snap, no matter if it is not a best snap as compare to someone who is better skilled, but still it shall be the best snap for the person who clicked it.
And of course expert's innovative comments are always helpful to improve the skill-set of newbie like us..
No offence to any senior experts at all. Beg your pardon if my comments are too straight forward for anyone.
For instance, this snap.. I don't know the photography basics & editing skill at all, just learning from tips from you guys especially from Raja for editing.
