Hi I am starting a thread on photos that we take of animals that we come across on our trips or elsewhere.

I am posting a few that I have taken during various trips and some of our pets too.

Please add the photos of animals that you have taken too.

The following were taken during our trip to Ooty, the first 3 in Bandipur and the rest in Mudumalai

Re: Photos of animals that we come across -both wild and tame

Some we took on our way back from Munnar after crossing Chinnar checkpost.

We had stopped the car to watch an elephant standing on the side of the road, when another one ran across the road just in front of our car and joined the other elephant.

It was a scary moment with my wife almost screaming.

@ jayadev

:sorry:, The thread title is a bit misleading. What I intended was photos of animals and pets that we have taken.

@Vishwas

Great pictures
Where was the 3rd and the 4th pictures of the elephants taken?

@autosafari

Real sharp pictures. you have either a very good camera or a very steady hand[;)]

These were taken in Kodai.

Myself i never take or post pics of animal in Zoo or captivity.
It is too much of cruelty ,cant bear it.
Imagine you take pictures of prisoner and sick people in mental asylum and post it publicly.

for a wild animals one should go and find them in wilderness.

-No offence to anybody here.

@ Vishwas

We usually go out early in the morning and these were shot just after pillar rock on the way to the pine forest.

We found may, one even just walking on the road. But I didn't have my camera ready. We even saw one inside the forest and stopped the car and went after it. But it kept moving deeper inside and I was afraid if I can out run it if it decides to get aggressive.
