TAL BRABO at IMTEX 2017: Ushering a new wave of robotics solution in India with a customer-centric approach

Pune, January 25, 2017: TAL Manufacturing Solutions Ltd, a Tata Enterprise a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors is set to take the industrial manufacturing in India by storm by showcasing the compact BRABO 2kg payload range of indigenous Industrial Articulated Robot at the IMTEX 2017. Terming the phenomena as ‘Robolution’, Industrial Robotics will take a quantum leap with TAL BRABO expanding their robot lineup to cater to OEMS, medium and small enterprises.

With its focused effort on customer-centricity, TALBRABO is poised to transform the manufacturing ecosystem in India. TAL’s new small robot offers all the functionality and expertise of the BRABO range in a much smaller package, helping to simplify industrial manufacturing with improved quality and productivity. Its size, combined with its lightweight design, makes the BRABO 2kg a reliable choice for generating high production outputs in return for a minimal investment. TAL BRABO is directed towards change in not only to the OEMs, but also to Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers who can automate their facilities by deploying robots, which will complement the human workforce, by taking over dull, dangerous, repetitive, and dirty jobs.

Since its inception more than 40 years ago, TAL brings lot of experience and expertise in providing manufacturing solutions. In export markets, TAL BRABO has already started exporting to Middle East Countries, and will now be predominantly targeting towards markets in SAARC countries. The present production capacity is around 3,000 and can be increased on an annual basis. While the investment on R&D is an ongoing process, in the new Technology initiatives in TAL with Aerospace & Robotics, approximately INR180 Crores already has been invested. TAL has set up a live demonstration center for their customers at their Demo Facility in Pune where robots are being demonstrated performing multiple applications like, sorting with vision system, press tending, gluing sealing, machine tending, pick& place, welding and various other application.

TAL BRABO will focus on automotive, electronics, logistics, food, packaging, pharmaceutical and other industries. The current list of customers includes TATA Motors Limited, Mahindra & Mahindra, L&T, Diebold, CPG Industries, Hydromatik, SGK Industries RTA Spa Italy, BITS Dubai Campus.

Indian-made TAL BRABO robot, ready for Europe

Obtains "CE" certification for operations in European manufacturing

Mumbai, April 02, 2017: After having successfully demonstrated the country’s first Made-in-India Robot called ‘BRABO’, at the ‘Make in India Week’ held last year, TAL Manufacturing, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors, today announced having received "CE" certification for the BRABO, for commercial sale of the Robot in Europe.

An innovative new concept developed from an industrial user perspective to automate micro, small and medium enterprises, the TAL BRABO now complies with essential requirements relevant to European health, safety and environmental legislation, permitting export of the TAL BRABO Robot to customers in Europe.

Designed indigenously the BRABO can used to create efficiencies right from raw material handling, until packaging of finished product and can be programmed to operate 24/7 in all situations, for continuous production, with a high degree of flexibility and even perform complex functions cost effectively. The BRABO can be used for varied applications for tasks like pick & placement of materials, assembly of parts, machine & press tending, as a sealing application, camera and vision based jobs etc. The BRABO can also complement human workforce by taking over dull, dangerous and monotonous jobs.

The BRABO was designed and styled in house at TAL Manufacturing and Tata Elxsi respectively, while manufacturing of some critical parts was done at Tata AutoComp. At TAL’s manufacturing facility in Pune, a Demo Facility has been set up where robots perform multiple applications like, sorting with vision system, press tending, gluing sealing, machine tending, pick & place, welding and various other applications.

With the BRABO, TAL Manufacturing will focus on automotive, electronics, logistics, food, packaging, pharmaceutical and other industries. The current list of BRABO customers includes TATA Motors Limited, Mahindra & Mahindra, Diebold, CPG Industries, Hydromatik, SGK Industries, RTA Spa Italy, BITS Dubai Campus, Suparna Plastics, Micromax Systems, Twin Engineers, AM Ecosystems & Kaziranga University

New Delhi, April 11, 2017: TAL Manufacturing Solutions, a subsidiary of Tata Motors Ltd. has launched its much-awaited TAL Brabo robot in two variants, with payloads of 2 kilos and 10 kilos, priced between INR 5 – 7 lakhs. Indigenously developed, the TAL Brabo is a ‘Made in India’ solution, developed to cater to micro, small and medium enterprises, as well as for large scale manufacturers who require cost competitive automated solutions in manufacturing.

Designed and styled in-house at TAL Manufacturing and Tata Elxsi respectively, Tata AutoComp manufactured some of the critical components of the robot. Conceptualised to complement human workforce and perform repetitive, high volume, dangerous and time consuming tasks, the TAL Brabo robot, can be deployed across industries.

Having successfully tested the TAL Brabo in over 50 customer work streams so far, TAL Manufacturing is ready to supply these robots to several sectors including Automotive, Light Engineering, Precision Machining, Electronics, Software Testing, Plastics, Logistics, Education, Aerospace and Engineering among others, simplifying industrial manufacturing, improving quality and productivity.

New Delhi, August 9, 2017: TAL Manufacturing Solutions, a subsidiary of Tata Motors, today announced the launch of its indigenously developed, TAL BRABO Welding Robot. Exhibited for the first time at the Automation Expo from 09 – 12 August 2017 in Mumbai, the TAL BRABO Welding Robot has been developed for welding operations with highly reliable features and ensures utmost safety as it is equipped to seamlessly perform all dangerous actions associated with welding.

Priced at approximately Rs. 8.5 Lakh Welding Robot is cost-effective offering easy-to-use robotic technology that caters to Tier 3 and 4 suppliers. With a reach of 850 mm and payload capacity of 6 kilograms.

Conceptualized to automate welding not only for OEMs but also MSME players, the TAL BRABO Welding Robot has been developed from an industrial user perspective. A complex and dangerous task, welding is associated with many health hazards such as damage to physical heath, serious medical complications due to exposure to fumes and high decibel noise that can potentially destroy the hearing ability of the welder. The design and in-house style of the TAL BRABO Welding Robot addresses all these concerns and performs welding functions consistently and precisely.
