Preamble: Its been almost two months of vanvas from Highways. Sold a 1,000km idea (Chidambaram-Puhar-Kumbakonam-Trichy-Back) to Family. Planned it for last week; couldn't start as I had mild temperature. Now Wify was eating my head since Monday. What was originally a left-circle two days' trip has now become 2.5 days' right-circular trip.
Planning done; needed to decide on the Hotel but not making desired progress. On-line sites said rooms available, the hotel said otherwise. Or there was diff in high tariffs (over phone). Websites also gave no or few choices. Then I found this purely by chance (after emptying the 2nd round. Oh No No, don't make or prove any theories).
Hotel Booking: I'll make this simple.

There, you got your hotels. Many of the Hotels Ph Numbers are listed when you left-click on the symbol. Ratings are also there. I made my reservation over phone and got confirmation (no advance payment made). Thank you Google.
PS: I don't know how well this will work out if you visit a totally unknown area.
