Electric locomotive - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insulator_(electricity)

Is it possible to insulate the High voltage-current lines for the electric locomotives ?. i.e. using glass, paper, teflon, rubber, plastic etc ?.

There are many train accidents where the people are electrocuted
as they climb the Train roof and accidentally touch the high voltage - current electric lines ?.

Which could be the Best insulator used for high voltage -current lines for electric trains ?.

Thanks & Regards,

I saw a video where a stupid idiot climbs on the roof, leans and grabs the wire and boom! He dies. [cry]
I guess there is no such need for people to climb OVER the roof, unless they are insane and mentally affected.
Such guys should be punished or allowed to die, rather than wasting our time, energy and money.
Forgive me if I am a bit harsh [cheers]

Do you know the working of electric train? How will the electricity pass if wire is insulated ?. A guy who want to commit suicide nobody can stop him except his own mind.
