Do fuel stations are available to the commercial airplanes at the airports facility where
airplanes do take off and landing ?.

Are there special planes for the same to do this refueling which has the storage
facility ?.

It will be very rare that the fuel stations at the airports can exhaust for filling fuel for the airplanes ?.

Thanks & Regards,

Re: Fuel stations for Commercial airplanes.

Thank you.

1. Do the commercial airplanes have to be parked to a special infrastructure area
within the airport where the fueling is done ?. i.e. There is a area within the airport where the plane moves to a special place for the fueling ?. This station has the fuel storage capacity within the airport.

OR

2. Do a tanker, truck etc vehicle having the fuel storage facility moves to the airplane where the airplane is parked and then the airplane is fueled ?.

Is it 1 or 2 for airplane fueling ?.

If both the two methods are right which is the Better method for fueling also taking account safety measures if required ?.

Advantages and Disadvantages having Fuel stations installed at the airport at a distance.

i.e. The airplanes move to special area zones where these fuel stations (Fuel station 1, Fuel station 2 etc are available and then they are fueled).

Do you feel the advantage of these fuel stations would be better than moving the fuel tanker, truck to the airplane carrying gallons of fuel from the safety point of view ?.

The disadvantage of these could be having fuel stations at the international and domestic airports is that the airports will require a bigger infrastructure land area for those fuel stations to be installed ?.

Dear Prashant,
The fuel stations are always mobile in Indian Airports and its always better that a truck carrying some gallons of fuel refills the jet instead of the complete underground fuel station which may contain lakhs of gallons of ATF. So its definitely the 2 out of ur choices.

Secondly as per aviation rules anyone having a DGCA licensed pilot with registered plane with an airworthiness certificate can fly in the Indian air space provided they have taken clearance from DGCA and AAI and have submitted their flight plan prior to these govt agencies.

Retractable mechanism for Landing gear in airplanes.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landing_gear

Are the Landing gears always retractable in all airplanes ?.

i.e.

Once the airplanes takes off, the front and rear wheels are always
folded ?.
Once the airplanes wants to Land, the front and rear wheels are unfolded ?.

What are the Pros and Cons with and without having these retractable mechanism for Landing gears in airplanes ?.

Electronic Panel Doors in Commercial Airplanes.

Is there a single front door near cockpit in commercial planes for passengers and crew members for entry - boarding and exit out of the airplane ?.

If not do you feel there can be also a Rear door constructed near the tail wing in commercial planes ?. Is it feasible to construct a rear door ?.

The Rear door will be only for passengers who are boarding and exit out
of the airplanes while the Front door will be only for the airplane crew members including the pilot, copilot ?.

Do you feel a electronic panel can be constructed on the airplane Front door only for the aircraft crew members who are given identity electronic cards ?. The Front door will be opened only from inside and outside the plane when the electronic card is swapped by the aircraft crew member for entry and exit out of the airplane.

Do you feel this also be extended for the cockpit electronic panel door where the pilot, copilot has to swap the electronic card to enter and exit the cockpit ?.

Do you feel this may enhance security on the commercial airplane ?.

Celebrating a 'safe' landing? [glasses] (just kidding)
Was this a regular practice? (with other airlines as well?)
Water cannon salute is a way of honor/celebration usually done during the first flight/retirement of a flight.

Friends,

Jet and IndiGo Airlines hike charges for cancellation.

All aisle and window seats on IndiGo flights will also cost more, if prebooked. This follows the DGCA's nod to airlines to pre-book all seats.
Booking a seat in the front or emergency rows will cost an additional Rs 600 while window and aisle seats in rows two to 11 will cost Rs 300.
