Bumper Got Scratched

Today, while reversing my alto lxi my rear bumper got scratch by society gate. How to remove scratches from unpainted(black) bumper?

Bumpers are meant to protect your car. Don't bother much about these scratches. Next time reverse it more carefully. It is very common to have scratches in those areas with tight parking space.

not much damage. it's better to leave it. do get it repaired when the damage is more. bumpers do get scratched here and there when you keep using your car.! since it is not painted it won't be an eye catcher. you can get it polished if it's a sore eye for you.!

Please clean the surface and get it polished.

Use Dashboard polish from any good company.

- Clean the surface [complete bumper] with water and make it dry.
- Apply dashboard polish in sufficient quantity to whole dashboard.
- leave it for some time to dry out. [may be 5 to 7 minutes]
- wipe it out with a smooth cotton material [preferably a hosiery material].

if scratch is deep use a sandpaper to make it smooth. Then apply dashboard polish . It will look better

I have used Formula 1 dashboard polish before, it makes scratch invisible for 2-3 days. After 3 days it is visible again.

What about painting the Bumpers with Body colour ? Before that apply Plastic Primer...

I have seen a red color alto with red bumper, personally I don't like at all.

This will happen. You will have to repeat polishing every 2-3 days.
There is no permanent solution for ABS/Poly Vinyl material if its unpainted.

If you ready to spent some money ask at 3M Car Care for transparent film of HDPE [High Density Poly Ethylene] can fix this or not.
