condition of the floor mat of my car is very poor is spite of using foot mat.Is there any better idea to protect floor mat??

If the condition is very bad, better to change it.
Floor mats (carpets) should be cleaned just like any other parts of the car. Once a month vaccuming is necessary to have it free from odour, dirt etc which will give it a fresh look . A squeezed wet cloth dipped in a soap solution can be used to clean any stains. Wet portions in floor mat can be dried using air blower from vaccum cleaner.

You can use the universal rubber floor mats. Maintenance is cheap, no need to use vacuum cleaner just wash the mats with soapy water and it looks like new.

my car is polo.
I think noodle mat is also a good option.I am in search of beige colour noodle mat, but have not found yet in kolkata.
I have also seen some transparent plastic in a local car accessory shop that can be fitted all over the car floor after removing the seat.Should i go for that?

I too put 2-3 layers of old news papers (especially during monsoons) to protect the mats.
