Met With Accident: Need Help To Claim Insurance

Hi All ,

Last Sunday I meet with an accident on Pune - Nagar Road near Supe.
It was happen while I am overtaking a truck and one stone come under the bonnet .
That Stone broke my CVT transmission box.

Please let me known how to process with Insurance claim .
what are the important point I need to focus.

Estimate given by Dealer is 2 lakh .

Pathetic built quality of the modern cars discouraging me purchase of new car with low ground clearance.

From the photo it appears that only bottom cover of CVT gear box is torn. It may be possible that there is no inner damage. Hope replacing bottom cover and filling oil will solve problem.

Did you have engine and gearbox cover added to your insurance policy ? I think insurance won't cover gearbox without it. I am not sure though
