Permanent Driving License: Giving Test Using Someone Else's Bike?

I have been using my neighbour's son's old bike for learning purposes, since he is now in the US.
It is an old 2nd hand 2003 registered LML Freedom bike.
I have the RC with the original owner's name on it.
I have insurance papers that are in the current owner's name - still valid for a year.

ie. nothing has my name on it.
Is it possible to give my permanent license test using these docs?
The Delhi transport site says I only need one doc out of RC, Insurance and PuC.
I called the CC and they vaguely said something bout bringing all 3, and then hung up on me.

So I ask you guys for help regarding this. [confused]
Can I just use the RC?
Or will it be weird if I go and show RC with one guy's name, Insurance with another guy's name, and learners license with my name?!

Any clarification will be appreacieted!

Re: Permanent driving license - giving test using someone else's bike?

Ankit, for getting a permanent license you actually don't require a vehicle's proof i.e RC, PUC or Insurance. If you have any learning license then just take that to the RTO and if you wish go to RTO on the same bike only. The RTOs are least bothered about taking any test etc, so just be calm and go with full confidence.

Re: Permanent driving license - giving test using someone else's bike?

Thanks for the reply Akash.

Are you sure about that? :(
There are usually a lot of people in queue, and if one person doesn't have correct original docs, they just shoo them away. I noticed this once when applying for a learners when some guy forgot to bring original copy of his phone bill.

The online registration site also states these docs are required:
https://dlpay.dimts.in/app/index.aspx (when you schedule an appointment and choose 'permanent license' from dropdown).

Also based on this:
Permanent Driving License Application Process in Delhi |

In fact the above is exactly the place i need to go.

Thanks.

Re: Permanent driving license - giving test using someone else's bike?

Ankit, When are you planning to go for form submission? Also, who's name is written on RC of that bike?

Do the following:

1) Paste L on the bike in Red color both in front and rear.

2) Get xerox of voter ID (as residence proof has to be in your name, telephone bill might not work if its not in your name)

3) Get Xerox of Pan Card for photo ID purpose or even the Voter ID shall be sufficient for this.

4) Carry original Voter ID and Pan Card also with original learner license.

5) Carry original PUC.

6) Request the bike owner to accompany you to the RTO just in case any clarification on documents or vehicle is needed.

See, you got your learner license based on proofs right. So, as you shall be showing the original learner license then half battle is won. Rest, just go with the above pointers and it all shall be settled nicely without any tension dear.

Re: Permanent driving license - giving test using someone else's bike?

I want to go in a few days. My learner's is about to expire.
The name on the RC is that of the original owner and it was bought many years ago. (I don't know him).
The current owner is in USA.

I still have to wait a couple of months for my own bike purchase.

Might have to re-apply for learners if this doesn't work out :(

Ankit, don't be disheartened right now. Just try out my suggestions in earlier post and it will work out.

Why you insist on taking that particular bike whose owner is in USA?
Take your learners' license + address & photo id proof in original + Xerox, & some adult friend or relative (who own the bike) with his bike with RC book + insurance, & everything is just ok. Best of luck.
