Selling a Car on Brother’s Name Who’s Abroad. Help.

Hi,

My brother is outside India however car is in his name.

Now my worry is in case I want sell it or exchange it, I shall not get any exchange bonus or not being able to sell it.

What is the way around this apart. Will name transfer count as it being driven by two owners????

don't worry friend. when you decide to sell the car, send your brother an rto tto set by courier and tell him to sign the same and send you back.

once that is done, let the buyer sign on the same tto set signed by your brother.

if you want you can also make an consent by a lawyer giving you the authority to sell the car on your brothers behalf and get it signed by your brother.
