Re: Swift Zdi Lover from Mumbai/Vienna

Yes, I will do it once i am back in India,

I should consider New swift as a Best car, Maintanance and light on purse wise,
my swift gives me 27-28 Kms per litre milage

I will share a Bad exprience while i was driving at 130 Kms per hr on Mumbai - pune expressway

Below is the Image showing Swift giving max milage of 30 km per litre
at 1900 RPM speed of 82Kms per hr

Hi Lewis,

Welcome on-board!!

Your set of wheels(past and present) matches the ones we have currently i.e. an Ikon and a Swift. You are right on the low maintenance of Swift as do with all Maruti cars.

Don't get fooled by that 30kmpl, it is just the instantaneous mileage and not the real trip efficiency.Use tank full method for precise outcome.

@Rahul Gupta,
I agree, I did that tank full method 5/6 times, there is consistency of milage of 26/27 kms per litre, No Frequent breaking
Here are my tricks,
keep RPM round 1800 to 2000(if you see my image close you will notice)
acclerate to 70/80 kms and keep light leg of acclerator
Keep Nitrogen presure to 60 points on all tyres, i Use michelin Primacy LC
Fill fuel in the morning between 6/7 am, first take 2 litres in bottel to rule out air passing instead of fuel from dispenser, which saved my loss more than 3 times
Engine Oil, I fill it Mobil Delvac 1300(its a a mineral oil), 2.9litre without filter change and 3.1litre with filter change,
I change air filter Every 8000 Kms,
Just before every rains, I Mix 50% Diseal and 50% enging oil (cheap one and spray in Engine bay below the car and grease the exposed metals

and i Use the same Mobil Engine oil (900 Ml)for my TVS victor
I always purchase 15 Litre bucket of Mobil delvac 1300 15w40 from Vashi Navi mumbai near truck terminal, since this oil is popular among truckers for a good reason...!
