Honda has come up with another attempt to improve the dwindling sales of its petrol only model lineup, this time with a slightly affordable automatic version of City. Badged as “S” variant, it is priced at Rs.9.09 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) as opposed to the top-end automatic “V” variant that retails for Rs.9.62 Lakhs. Some of the features that this middle variant will lose to the top end are chrome exhaust tip, indicators on outside rear view mirrors, ten spoke alloys, interior gun metal finish and cruise control. Here’s a quick price comparison of the entry level automatics available in this segment sourced from their respective websites:
> Honda City S: Rs.9.09,000
> Ford Fiesta Style: Rs.9,13,900
> Skoda Rapid Ambition: Rs.8,42,505
> Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX: Rs.9,93,764
