BTW: One question buddy since you have driven Storme, has its ride quality became more stiff than previous versions also how good is handling when compared to Aria? | Each and every change needs extensive testing. Still they are fine tuning everything.
I drove it very minimal. based on my observation, handing + braking + suspension + pickup + NVH improved a lot than aria. As per my friend, he is not very comfortable in aria after drove the safari ( means the handing part alone ) Quote:

Thats why i prefer safety packed vehicle as SAFARI.
Kindly gothru the article which is published 2003, to know more about the tata vehicle's safety norms.
I think this is not OT. tata.com Crash testing for dummies |

| Re: New Tata Safari 'Storme' Now Officially Breaks Cover Anyone saw "The Car & Bike Show" today, SVP was mentioning about Storme that its not a facelifted but a proper Gen 2 Safari, he also praised the interiors and said that JLR have tuned this cars' dynamics .He praised the exterior design as well barring the front grill. But only alamring thing that he said was that this car would be positioned not against mighty Scorpio but XUV500 and will be launched in May .Hope Tata don't do that.
PS: Safari Storme in that Bronze colour looked absolutely fabulous, infact stunning. And Mods sorry for back to back posts. |

But the front grill design make things ordinary (not bad at all). And the center console looks neat and looks high quality, but its not giving us a premium feel. The interior fit and finish looks high class, perfectly awesome. These 2 things bring the Strome from XUV500 territory to scorpio territory. They must bring 2DIN HU as standard to make the center console to looks finished. Strome already has automatic-sensing wiper, motorised-lights, parking sensor, better 4x4, better ride and handling, Dual A/C. They can simply add curtain airbags from aria. Still they have a better chance to bring it to XUV territory. Im not talking about the price territory, but about the features. |

Good work Justine, yours' grill design is looking much meaty and butch than mundane tata default grill. As far as curtain airbags are concerned, at least tata should give ESP as standard while offering curtain airbags as option. |

Does it mean Hill Ascent/Decent Control ?
Request members to write complete names for things which are not common. One can understand ABS, EBD, ESP etc. but these terms are not regular. My humble request. |

| Re: New Tata Safari 'Storme' Now Officially Breaks Cover HCA= Hill Climb Assist , assists in climbing a steep incline by engaging the brakes little longer(even if you have braked mid way) until you come back on the gas.
HDC= Hill descent control, you engage this mode and only concentrate on steering, the car will automatically brake+ accelerate according to the situation.

Primarily it is of design purpose but when you place rear tyre underneath than there will be less space for big catalytic converter, hence engineers at TML might have gone for two exhaust pipes with smaller converter and in a way also gives Aria and Storme a disticnt looks.
Note: Was at Tata Dealer on last saturday to ask about any further scheme on ARIA (2011 model) or any news of storme.
Aria: It is still available at around 11L for Pure
Storme: As per dealer bookings might start around last week of March or First week of April.
Maybe TML is waiting for Mahindra to Launch stripped down version of XUV W4 and than they'll decide the pricing and models availabilty. |

They never look out other companies to price their own product. All tata vehicles are minimum 30K costlier than mahindra vehicles. have a look at SUMO & BOLERO, GRANDE & XYLO and SCORPIO & SAFARI.
I think TATA will keep the base version of SAFARI (7.99L) as it is and replace the higher versions with STROME with the same price level of existing respective versions. And also place the base version of the Strome at 8.5L ( basic config with ABS+ EBD ). Classic safari Lx 4x2 will have body colored cladding, and 4x4 without bodycolor cladding.
I think tata 'll start the sales for strome by AUG or SEP this year. Bcos most of their new product launches happened around those months.
