Has this been imported by the dealer for display purposes or can we expect a launch soon? I am guessing this is a CBU import and has not been assembled or manufactured here. If launched, this would be one of the first practical electric cars in India, with a decent range.

I hope the brand survives in India long enough for the Leaf to come. With the global issues with Carlos Ghosn's firing and with the ever depleting sales in India, I am very worried about the future of the brand in India.
While Renault is managing decent numbers with Kwid and Duster, other than Micra no other cars are managing to sell even 3 digit numbers. The Micra is sold just 250 in the month of October. The numbers have been constantly falling month by month.
I doubt the dealers would be able to continue with such low sales. Also, the majority of the sales are towards the Taxi/Cab segment with the Micra and Sunny. Many users in the segment usually stick with independent garages to maintain the fleet. Taking this into consideration, I feel that Nissan may exit from India sooner or later.
Nissan Kicks is a ray of hope, but with the present scenario, I have doubts with it being launched.
