IndianAutosBlog.com understands that the 2019 Ford Figo (facelift) will launch in India in early 2019. The company's entry-level model has been spotted testing on numerous occasions. The refreshed hatchback will feature the same engines and features as the 2018 Ford Aspire (facelift).

The 2019 Ford Figo (facelift) will be powered by the same set of engines that are available on the new Aspire. The petrol variants will be propelled by the new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Dragon engine that will replace the current 1.2-litre four-pot motor. The new powerplant outputs a maximum power/peak torque output of 96 PS/120 Nm. The engine will be mated to a Getrag MX65 5-speed manual transmission.

2019 Ford Figo Facelift To Launch In India Very Soon

The 2019 Ford Figo comes with revised exterior and the changes will akin to the Freestyle with a prominent honeycomb front grille, reworked bumpers, newly designed fog lamps, redesigned headlamps and tail lamps, new set of alloy wheels, etc. The interior will also receive major changes and feature additions. Some of the key highlights are new 6.5-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC3 connectivity as in the EcoSport, Freestyle and Aspire; new seat upholstery and use of more premium materials, and increased standard safety features including dual airbags, ABS with EBD, speed warning system and so on.

2019 Ford Figo BLU Reaches Dealership Ahead Of Launch

Ford India introduced the new Endeavour less than a couple of weeks ago and despite the added equipment and cosmetic changes, it has been priced lower than the outgoing model. 2019 Figo has redesigned exteriors, which match the style and elegance of Aspire. Front and rear bumpers have been reworked, new fog lamp unit has been added, headlamps and tail lights have been updated, honeycomb mesh grille now looks sportier and there are new alloys.

Interiors have also been updated, offering a new theme and several new features. The materials used on the inside now look a lot premium as compared to the outgoing model. The all black treatment gives a sporty look. Key features include a SYNC3 6.5-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. 2019 Ford Figo for India unveiled officially – Partners with Tinder ahead of launch

After launching the updated Figo in China, Ford is now getting ready to launch the same in India. Similar to the Figo in China, the 2019 Figo for India gets a more attractive exterior design and feature rich interiors. Though launch in India is on 15th March, Ford India has officially taken wraps off the car today.

Retaining its earlier silhouette, the new Figo sports some design element with the Aspire facelift. It is seen with a large honeycomb grille with chrome accents, new headlamp design and halogen units along with a new front bumper and round fog lamps. The new Figo will also get a wide airdam and new multi spoke black alloy wheels with similar black elements on its tailgate.

New Ford Figo launch price Rs 5.15 L to Rs 8.09 L, ex-showroom

2019 Figo Facelift is being offered in three variants of Ambient, Titanium and Titanium BLU with the latter receiving a sportier stance with a contrasting roof line, chrome finished honeycomb grille and new 15” alloy wheels. Exterior updates across the range are similar to those seen on the Aspire facelift, which was launched last year in India. Ford claims that there are 1,200 changes (yes, twelve hundred) on board the Figo facelift.

Ford India has finally given the Figo a much-needed facelift which comes three years after the hatchback was first launched in the country. The 2019 Ford Figo Facelift has been launched at a starting price of Rs 5.15 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and the 2019 Figo has been comprehensively designed with 1200 new parts. Ford has made a host of cosmetic and mechanical changes to its premium hatchback which is almost identical to the ones we have seen on the Aspire facelift. For starters, the new Figo gets a revised face, tweaked rear and an updated cabin along with two new petrol engines. Ford Figo petrol-automatic set for late-August launch

• Figo 1.2 to get a 6-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox
• Will be the same automatic gearbox from the EcoSport SUV
• Expected to launch by end-August 2020

Ford will soon launch a new automatic version of its 1.2-litre Figo hatchback. The automatic gearbox used will be the same 6-speed torque-convertor unit seen on the Ford EcoSport.

Displacing 1,194cc and putting out 96hp at 6,500rpm, the 1.2 Dragon engine makes a good amount of power, especially for a car of the Figo's size. Performance is healthy at high engine speeds, and the 1.2 Dragon has a relatively strong mid-range. Where there is a bit of a power deficit is at low engine speeds. Here, throttle responses are lazy and the engine takes its time to respond.

The good bit here is that a torque-convertor automatic gearbox firms up throttle response at low engine speeds (by multiplying torque), and this should help the Figo feel more responsive to a tap on the throttle. As the 6-speed automatic gearbox is also the same as the one used on the EcoSport, the Figo could also get paddleshifters, which could help keen drivers extract the maximum power from the fun-to-drive Figo. 2021 Ford Figo Automatic Variants Launched; Prices Start At ₹ 7.75 Lakh

Ford India has finally reintroduced an automatic option for the Figo hatchback. The car now comes with a new 6-speed torque converter unit and it's offered in two variants - Titanium and Titanium+, priced at ₹ 7.75 lakh and ₹ 8.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Earlier, Ford used to offer the Figo with an automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), however with the launch of the facelifted model in 2019, the company discontinued the DCT models. Right now, there is a growing demand for automatic cars among consumers, and the introduction of the Figo automatic will certainly add to the carmaker's volumes.
