Tata Motors will launch the Facelift of the Tigor C-Sedan on the 10th of October in Delhi. We shall be attending the launch and detailed coverage assured as always[:)] Please discuss the facelift Tigor here on this thread so as to keep it specific.

Tata Motors trolls Ford Aspire in new Facelift Tigor promo

Ford India has just launched the new Aspire facelift in India that will see competition from the new Tata Tigor facelift in the coming days. After the launch of the new Ford Aspire facelift, Tata Motors decided to mock the new Aspire and announced the launch date of the new Tigor in style. The company has released a teaser video of the new Tigor facelift and the starting of the video is what that will surely catch your attention. The video starts with the words 'Don't just Aspire'. While at first, even if you try to ignore the fact that Tata is mocking Ford with the statement, take a look at the font with which 'Aspire' is written and you will be forced to change your mind. On taking a closer look at the letter 'A' in the word Aspire in the teaser video, you will notice that it gets a hint of F from Ford's logo. While such advertising rivalry is common among luxury brands and is happening since decades, we wait in anticipation and are eager to see if Ford comes up with an equally witty reply.

So few things that can be expected from new Tigor is

1. New Blue color for the car. The already looks superb the notch shape really makes it stand out in the crowded sub 4m segment. This blue color will make it stand out all the more.

2. New headlamps and taillamps. Headlamps will have a new squarish bezel for the projectors. and Nexon inspired design for the tail lamps.

3. 7 in touch screen with Harman ICE. Would want to see what all features it offers. Hopefully apple play, android car, reverse camera all built into it.

4. Center arm console.

5. Driver seat height adjustment

Only one grouse though is that engine is unchanged. Probably they are saving for the JTP version of tigor.

According to Autodrive, the refreshed Tigor range is likely to get a new XZ+ top-spec variant Which will be available only on the manual gearbox-equipped cars.

Besides 7" touchscreen with reverse camera, it also comes with power folding wing mirrors and a shark fin antenna. Apple CarPlay will be available as standard on this system, however this feature will be only be usable in the car only in 2019, as per the report.

The new Tata Tigor XZ+ is likely to be priced around Rs 30,000 more than the old XZ trim.

I would be interested in knowing 2 things:

1) Will the base model & mid model be offered with 1 or 2 Airbags as standard?

2) If XZ+ is coming as a variant will TML be closing off the XZ(O)?

^^ Yes this is very much required as major competitors are now offering all models with ABS and Airbags.

Spy pictures from Rushlane give an impression that the touch screen as an aftermarket fitment. Waiting for more clearer pictures.

XZ+ will carry most features offered by the erstwhile top-end XZ model, except those new features as given above. So XZ comes with 2 Airbags and as such ZX+ will have same.

Mostly, ZX(O) will not be there and only ZX+ will be there.

Tata Motors on a confused note? They dropped Messi altogether? Hrithik Roshan only for Tigor?
Meanwhile no changes to the front bumper design as part of this facelift. Only I could see the chrome strip which is an accessory for the current Tigor. At least, they should have used Geneva edition front bumper.

Rushlane (also other blogs) reported a news titling ''New Tata Tigor Egyptian Blue colour spied – During TVC shoot in Pune'' and posted a couple of pictures of new Tigor (?) which as follows:

The car shown in the pictures has a Maharashtra registered number plate. The new version of the car is supposed to be launched only on 10th October and as such how come they get an RTO registered car?

If it is a Temporary registered then it should show as 'TEMP'?

Any guess?

Please ask them about JTP twins. This facelift is not in line with their recent efforts. We must ask again and again until we get a clear answer from Mayank.
