Oh, Dzire still leading and once topper Alto down to 3rd position. Wagon R maintains 5th position, but Celerio seems lost in the race[surprise]

Thanks vibhor for the update.

Some take aways;
Datsun: surviving due to Redi-go.
Fiat: keeping afloat but for the NA engine.
Ford: Freestyle with 2.5k sales doing well.
Jeep: will settle to 1-1.5k range, not bad for a single product company.
M&M: still maintaining on their old workhorses Bolero & Scorpio.
Maruti: ruling the roost, celerio loosing to tiago.
Renault: keeping afloat on Kwid and duster.
Tata: doing well due to their 3+1 ace's.
Toyota: for yaris to hold, will need a good diesel engine.

Regards

Fiat : Strange to see their numbers, are they going the Chevrolet way or they have a plan and product to bounceback in Indian markets.
Rapid vs Vento : Rapid has consistent sales figures, higher than Vento on MoM basis.

Jeep is doing well for Fiat and also they are getting good licensing fees from Maruti for their engines. Just with those they are having decent numbers. However, the sales numbers are truly worrying and I would not be surprised if they stop the sales for Fiat, moving to MOPAR as the common service partners for Jeep and Fiat. From what it looks like, their focus would be on the Jeep brand in the future years in India.

For the Rapid vs Vento, Rapid's consistent sales are due to regular updates in features and looks for the Rapid. Skoda has been constantly updating the Rapid, which has not been the case with the Vento, though both are very capable cars. Also, in India, Skoda commands a better brand value as compared to VW, which has been recently acknowledged by VW, by giving Skoda reins to decide the upcoming models and platforms for the group.
