I guess its a Hyundai VTVT 1.2!
Turbo lag depends on the size of the Turbo, tuning and power of the NA engine to which the Turbo is attached. Lag is actually the time waiting for the boost from the Turbo, some loves it, while some hates it -Personally I love it ,at times it brings little discomfort too especially at ghats when the car is fully loaded. Its inherent to Turbo engines but there are some cars with minimum turbo lag Honda 1.5 Diesel, Toyota 1.4 D4D again Diesel may be a smaller Turbo on duty!
2.Turbo kick almost relatable to turbo lag and depends on same factors as for the Turbo lag!
3.Turbo petrols have very sensitive fuel economy, A turbo charger is basically an auxiliary device used for enhancing the efficiency , but unlike diesels T-petrols are very sensitive to throttle input, might deliver outstanding figures on relaxed highway cruising too.
4.Adding a Turbo is a gamble, not advisable and it needs skilled and trained personal even if the parts are readily available, there will be boost on output figures from 15-30 % on both Torque & BHP depending upon the size of the turbo and the boost its producing ! we may need to strengthen the engine block, piston heads ,connecting rods and everything along with Gear box to handle extra torque.
5.Definitely NVH will improve , its one of the bonus with Turbo charging .
Yes ! I'm a Turbo addict!
