Nissan Sunny 2017 Officially Launched

NEW DELHI, INDIA (JANUARY 17, 2017)

Nissan today announced the launch of the New Sunny 2017 in India. The New Sunny builds on the success of Nissan India’s flagship sedan and will be available in dealerships across the country starting today.

With newly added features, distinctive styling, and class-leading space, the New Sunny offers a great value propostion for customers without any price increase. The car is competitively priced, starting from Rs. 7.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The New Sunny 2017 further enhances the premiumness of the car with unparalled comfort and style and now comes adorned in a classy and elegant ’Sandstone Brown’ exterior colour. Stylish chrome door handles enhance the car’s premium ambience. Additionally, the interior now has the option of an all-black look with striking black fabric seats and new black interior panels.

Announcing the new model, Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Nissan India is constantly listening to the voice of our customers. The New Sunny 2017 is a testimony to this with its spacious interior, comfortable drive feel and fuel-efficient engines. The new features and color options offer more to our customers at the same price and we are confident this package will attract new Nissan car buyers.”

The New Sunny 2017 offers two powertrain options: a powerful 1498cc, HR15 petrol engine coupled with the XTRONIC CVT, and a torquey 1461cc k9k dci diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The New Sunny diesel variant offers superior fuel efficiency of 22.71 per kilometer. It has an enticing aftersale package with a 2- year/50,000 km warranty & free Road Side Assistance. All these enhancements will be available across the range of current Sunny variants in the Nissan India line-up.

Maruti rolls out special editions by adding stickers here and there, Nissan changes the Interior and exterior color and calls it a new model year avatar. What's wrong with you Japanese?

When Sunny was launched it used to be more VFM in it's segment, with the main USP being the rear space. Now every other car in it's segment is matching the so called USP with loads of features. In all these years (after the initial launch) what Nissan did was
- Few color changes
- Tweaked lamps and bumpers
- Center console, steering, audio system
- and finally raised the price over a lakh

No wonder if the sales figure drops to 2 digit figures in future. Long way to go Nissan.

PS: Saying all these, I still love Sunny as a overall package and thumbs up for the all black interiors. I wish I could get it done on my 'Grey dipped' sunny

Just Love this car for space, mileage, a/c & comfort. Rear Head rest looks good. Black interior is awesome. I still don't like the a/c controls / Over all dashboard & front looks. Hope they improve leg support in rear seats.
